About Us

Located 20 minutes south of Birmingham in Pelham, AL, Shelby Printing is your “one stop shop” for printing, promotional products, web design, and more! Founded in 1996, our original mission was to provide “high quality, medium format offset printing at a competitive price”. Since then, our list of products and services has expanded to include digital printing, promotional products, web design, and direct mailing. In 2008, we moved into a new 16,000 square foot facility and updated our core production equipment to include aqueous coating, digital presses, faster saddle binding, and a more streamlined prepress department. These improvements broadened our product base and greatly enhanced our ability to service customers. We are proud to now provide clients with all forms of media!

Prepress

Whether you’re starting from scratch, or already have a print-ready file, our experienced prepress and design staff is equipped to handle your project!

Shelby Printing was one of the first in our area to install “direct to plate” technology in our prepress department. When film began to be phased out of the industry, we chose Screen brand thermal equipment as our plate making platform. We are able to print with conventional or stochastic dot, which allows much more flexibility with difficult screens and images. Mac or PC work stations with the latest programs insure smooth transition from your files to a printable plate. We can design your project from the ground up or assist you in preparing your files for print.

Pressroom

Top notch equipment and people are the keys to success in any manufacturing company. Shelby Printing is committed to providing the best and latest equipment to our skilled craftsmen in order to produce the best finished product for your most important media projects. Heidelberg brand offset presses and finishing machines have been the mainstay of our equipment line up for many years, and our customers have come to depend on their consistency and durability. Most of our employees have been here for more than ten years, and are well qualified to bring the experience necessary to produce the highest quality finished product.

If you need a small quantity of high quality professionally printed materials on a budget, Shelby Printing also offers digital printing. Bindery

Our bindery department offers our customers a wide variety of finishing services. We provide folding, die cutting, saddlestitching, inline gluing, laminating, embossing, perfect binding, coil binding, foil stamping, debossing, tabbing, perfing, scoring, collating, shrink wrapping, numbering, padding, drilling, round corner,and wire-o binding

Shipping

There is no charge for pickup of customer supplied disks or proofs. Shelby Printing offers local van deliveries and uses UPS, Fedex and other major freight carriers for all other destinations. Shipping will be billed at the charged rate, plus any package or pallet preparation. We are happy to estimate shipping costs in advance, and include this in your initial estimate. All printed products being delivered to our client’s customer for resale will be packaged in plain boxes with generic delivery tickets.
